Missionaries' Kids (MKs) spent a significant portion of their youth living between cultures. As a result of this, they often grow into adults with undeniable strengths, but also with unique challenges. My work with MKs and other TCKs focuses on helping multi-cultural of all ages to be aware of the influences that shaped them and of the characteristics that define them. An MK myself, I've learned with deeper understanding come wisdom and empowerment.
I serve MKs (Missionaries’ Kids) by various means: I travel globally to train those who rear and educate them, teaching MKs in international schools, raising awareness about their unique skills and challenges through writing, advocating for them in mission agencies and consulting with individual missionary families, hosting MKs in my home, leading re-entry seminars in the States and Canada and producing materials for other missionaries to use in their MK endeavors.
